Learning from the Best: A Father’s Day Post
My Mom and Dad were (and still are) the best teachers I could have wished for. They taught me to persevere and to serve others joyfully. Most importantly, they showed me the blessing of always relying on God and studying His Word
Learning Retention in an Accelerated Environment Pt. 2
“Is it really possible for students to remember and retain the information they learn during the very limited two-week studying periods that Verity allows for each course?”
In Honor of the ’16 Class: What It Means to Graduate
“Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.”

God Rather Than Man
God calls his children to submit to government authorities, but what if the government is oppressive? What if the government inhibits Christians from serving God? Ought Christians to submit still?
Behind the Scenes: Relaunching the Biology Degree
This last year, our team has been researching and gathering necessary components for adding a Science degree to our list of programs.
Learning Retention in an Accelerated Environment Pt. 1
Are students who use this accelerated educational route LESS able to retain information than those who use the traditional method for college education?
Day 11 (Monday): God is My Fortress
Thinking back over the past week and a half, I’ve just become so grateful for the prayers of our family and friends back home. I was completely exhausted, drained, and not ready to give. I knew that I couldn’t do this trip on my own.
Day 10 (Sunday): Recharging
This past week has been anything but a vacation. Thankfully, Sunday is always a great day for a break to recharge our depleted batteries, and we got half a charge today.
Day 8 & 9 (Friday/Saturday): The Transformative Power of the Gospel
What can get conveyed without the use of common language, without the words to come together to form sentences? Love.
Day 7 (Thursday): “Oodles of Kids”
At some point at our last camp, about 4 of us guys were left to babysit about 20-some boys (the rest of the group led a Bible study with the adults / took the girls to get clothes from the house).
Day 6 (Wednesday): Conversations With a Voodoo Priest
Dr. Malcolm asked us earlier in the week if we would all be up for going to talk to a powerful voodoo priest that was still practicing his magic. It turned out that plans got turned around due to water in the mountains that enabled us to make that visit today.
Day 5 (Tuesday): The Blue Lagoon
In the afternoon, we went to a meeting with a group of believers that the missionaries are training to be leaders and I had the honor to teach. I was so blessed to see how eager they were to learn the word of God.
Day 4 (Monday): Village Visits
Today we made an hour long drive to a village that rested only 8 miles from our hotel. Whenever we complain about our road conditions in American it is humbling to think of 8 miles taking an hour to drive.
Day 3 (Sunday): iPhone Musings
The people here are starving for the love of God, and you can see it especially in the children. Whenever you are with them, all they want is to be shown attention and love.
Day 2 (Saturday): Continued Travels and Arrival
Day 2 for group one (our team traveled in two separate groups) technically started when we pulled into the parking lot of a very sketchy hotel at 12 in the morning.
